Aims of meeting.
The aim of this meeting was for mentees and mentors to undertake training and discussion on gender equality, diversity and social inclusiveness (GEDSI) in vector surveillance and control in the Pacific with the assistance of the PacMOSSI GEDSI Advisor.
Resources used during the training have been provided so that mentees can repeat this activity with their staff.
The meeting objectives were to:

Stimulate experience sharing
of key issues experienced in ensuring inclusive vector surveillance and control

Improve awareness
of definitions and frameworks for understanding GEDSI and barriers in vector-borne disease management

Identify through discussions
approaches to address the GEDSI-linked barriers

Review survey findings
and identify implications for work and workplaces
