Aims of meeting.

Regional Strategic Planning Workshop

The PacMOSSI regional strategic planning workshop aimed to review the key components of a strategic plan for Aedes Vector Surveillance and control with WHO guidelines and the Aedes Framework for National Surveillance and Controls Plans in Pacific Island Countries and Territories

The workshop objectives were to:
  • Review the principles and components of the Framework and Manual to guide PICTs vector control planning and implementation​
  • To explore in more depth some key components for the Framework from a planning perspective​
  • To share experiences and lessons learned in implementation of various aspects of the Framework for surveillance and control of vectors
  • For each country to identify the next steps in finalising/strengthening their vector control plans
